- Located in the former Lorraine Motel, where Martin Luther King, Jr., was slain, the National Civil Rights Museum's interactive exhibits re-create key events in the struggle for equality. Filled with striking full-color photos, this book offers a "you are there" tour of the museum. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the National Civil Rights Museum. The history, purpose, and contents of the National Civil Rights Museum built on the spot where Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot. Color photographs of different parts of the museum are juxtaposed with black-and-white photographs of scenes from the civil rights struggle.
