- This letter is apparently a response to Ms.A4.6A v.3, p.59. Since a greater part of page 2 has been crossed out, it is very probable that another corrected copy was sent
- Anne Warren Weston explains that "the Managers of our Fair are labouring to place funds at the disposal of the American Anti Slavery Society or its auxiliaries," and in their call for aid pledge themselves that proceeds from their efforts will go to these organizations. They are therefore not at liberty to withdraw either goods or funds for other purposes. In the call to the Rochester Fair, the purpose to which its funds are pledged is not mentioned; Anne advises Amy Post to make such a mention if her society is to hold a fair next year
