  • Name of printer given at end of introductory prohemye on a1v. Place and date supplied from ISTC. On the dating, see BM 15th cent
  • Based on Caxton's second edition of [1483] although the "proem is somewhat confusedly adapted from Caxton's, with numerous alterations of orthography, rewordings, transpositions, and omissions"; it is inferred that Pynson printed his edition from a copy of Caxton's second, "in which certain readings had been introduced from an unknown manuscript"--BM 15th cent
  • With woodcut illustrations throughout: 21 different woodcuts with 26 repeats, based on those in Caxton's second edition
  • Signatures: a-v́ı 2a-ḱı 2ĺœ A-Íı Ḱœ (K6 is blank)

Early marginalia, in various hands, is present throughout.
