Bound-with title, following free front pastedown, in black ink script, with shelf mark and annotations in pencil script, along with an embossed stamp of the Boston Public Library at head of leaf. Volume title verso includes markings in blue pencil script and date (October 14, 1874) in pencil script. Printed on wove papers. Rear pastedown includes ink stamp (reading "AUG 30 1927") at head. Work itself includes markings in various scripts at head of page [1]. Copy bound with: A society for the special study of political economy, the philosophy of history, and the science of government / [William Foster]. 1857.
