  • Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy imperfect. 26 leaves wanting: a1, a6, a7, A1-4, X1, c8, o1-p8, q8. Leaves O3-O6 are supplied from another copy and printed on vellum, with woodcuts colored by hand and an illuminated initial.
  • Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy bound in early blind tooled calf. The spine is rebacked in modern calf with the title stamped in gilt. Leaf dimensions: 349 x 254 mm. The armorial bookplate of Arthur Hugh Smith Barry is present on the front pastedown. A pencil inscription in the hand of Frederic Fox Bartrop pertaining to the provenance of the volume is present on the recto of the modern front free endpaper. Present on an early rear endpaper are several 16th-century inscriptions pertaining to the genealogy of the Cornwallis family of England. Margins are ruled in light brown ink. Four-line initials are rubricated in blue and red. The section on Thomas Becket, printed on leaf xvii recto and verso (C1) is struck out.
