The prints are mounted on leaves over rectangular openings slightly smaller than the prints. On recto of leaf before print 2 there has been mounted an engraved port. of Michelangelo after a medal by Leone Leoni. It is dated 1561, and may be by Jan Wierix; see Ernst Steinmann, Portraitdarstellungen des Michelangelo, plate 51A.
  • Binding: later calf, tooled in gilt with triple fillets along edges of boards and fleurons at the corners. Spine with 6 floral compartments. Edges of boards blind tooled. Page edges red.
  • Verso of front free endpaper signed in blue ink: Kåre Foss, Paris, 1925. Pencilled inscription in Swedish on facing 2nd endpaper in achildish hand.
