Summary
Griffing asks May if he knows and approves Parker Pillsbury's theories about marriage. Griffing also inquires as to whether or not Pillsbury is an agent of the American Anti-Slavery Society or the Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Society. On the reverse of the letter is a copy of a letter dated Feb. 21, 1863, written by Samuel May in response to Griffing. May replies that Pillsbury is an agent of the Trustees of the Hovey Fund and asks Griffing to explain what he means when he says that there is something amiss in Pillsbury's "theory and practice on the marriage question."
