Summary
Thomas Phillips writes to William Lloyd Garrison providing him with an extensive tour itinerary for his lectures while in England, with meetings for both freedmen's aid and temperance. Phillips states that "steps will be taken to induce Mr. Gladstone to preside at the Liverpool meetings". Phillips states that he breakfasted with several former Confederate officers that morning, and that while it provided for a "good deal of interesting conversation", their views were "rather in concussion than concurrence". Phillips informs Garrison that reports of the Paris Anti-Slavery Conference appearing in that month's Anti-Slavery Reporter were "exceedingly meagre"
