Front pastedown includes donors' ex libris (bookplate) of the Boston Public Library identifying copy as a gift of Joshua Bates, received September 15, 1859. Title page includes embossed stamp of the Boston Public Library, along with an ink stamp of indecipherable provenance to the left of title page vignette. Rear pastedown includes red ink stamp dated "Jun 28 1918".
