- A. A. Phelpśs writes to advise on a State Convention to be held for the purpose of forming the New York State Anti-Slavery Society. He recommends Utica for the venue, and advises that ́the call should go out signed by the officers, or executive committees" of the several societies across the State. Otis Allen replies in agreement with Phelps. He lists the officers of the Society as well as the members of the Executive committee
