- According to Ménier and Debien, at the end of 1790, this supplement to the Affiches américaines, printed in Port-au-Prince from 1766-1790, became its own independent newspaper. It apparently ceased in September of 1791
- The best evidence for printing history comes from Ménier & Debien. According to Journaux de Saint-Domingue by M.A. Ménier and G. Debien, the "Avis divers et petites affiches américaines" is a separate publication, printed in Cap-Français in 2 volumes weekly every Wednesday, and ran from v. 1, no. 1 (Aug. 29, 1764) to v. 2, no. 52 (Dec. 25, 1765). The "Avis divers et petites affiches américaines" was continued by the "Affiches américaines", which ran from 1766 to 1790, when in the last part of 1790 the "Affiches américaines. Feuille du Cap" became a separate publication, to be distinguished from "Affiches américaines. Feuille de Port-au-Prince", and lasted until September of 1791. Another incarnation of the "Affiches américaines" appeared in Cap-Français, 1793, but Ménier and Debien claim that this publication bears no relation to the Affiches as printed from 1766-1790. Cf. Ménier & Debien. Journaux de Saint-Domingue, in Extrait de la revue des colonies, Paris, 1950, p. [423]-475
