Copy in dark brown cloth over corrugated boards. Spine title and shelf mark`in black ink script over white cloth tape. Ex libris (bookplate) of the Boston Public Library, including shelf mark in black ink script, present on front pastedown. Bound-with title, following free front pastedown, in black ink script, with shelf mark and annotations in pencil script, along with an embossed stamp of the Boston Public Library at head of leaf. Volume title verso includes markings in blue pencil script and date (October 14, 1874) in pencil script. Printed on wove papers. Rear pastedown includes ink stamp (reading "AUG 30 1927") at head. Work itself includes original paper wrapper, which features various markings and embossed stamp on cover, and an unautographed presentation inscription, in black ink script, attributed to author at head of cover. Title includes various markings, and a perforation and an embossed stamp.
